Dallas County District 3 makes decision to help clean environment…….NOW!

Go Green North America, Ltd. announces Install  Sales Order from Dallas County District # 3 for Road and Bridge Truck Division, Dallas, Texas

February 28, 2007 – Five (5) weeks after reaching an agreement with Dallas County Road & Bridge District No. 3 (DCD3) and installing five (5) units as part of Go Green North America, Ltd’s (GGNA) exclusive 60-Day Demo Purchase Program, Go Green is pleased to announce that we have already received a purchase order for the initial GGF HET units from the District and a request to immediately install five (5) more units on different types of off-road equipment for testing.

“The initial results have been great for the District and for the community”, said Jonathan Laramy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for GGNA. Mr. Laramy stated “Overall Emissions have been reduced on the initial five (5) Road and Bridge Dump Trucks by an average of 33% for CO and by an average of 38% for NOx, as measured in parts per million, in just 5 weeks of operation”.  Scott Cain, Vice President of Operations states, “Two of the trucks have seen increases in MPG of 14% and 17%, above their 12 month averages from last year. These results are after only 1,977 miles and 1,458 miles driven, respectively, since the GGF HET 30’s were installed and operational. These numbers are even more significant, considering the fact the trucks experienced these gains, during some of the coldest months the Dallas area has seen in sometime, as vehicles typically get better MPG during warmer climate months.”

While the Federal Government continues to debate the effects of toxic carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon emissions which pollute our atmosphere and searches for solutions, County Commissioner John Wiley Price decided to take the initiative at the County level and made the decision to take action now in the cause to “go green”.

Commissioner Price stated, "EPA has already cited North Central Texas for its inadequate air quality.  We cannot afford to wait for the completion of another study or for the passage of another law.  We have the responsibility to take action now and to do what we can.  If Dallas County, which contains 2.3 million people and 900 square miles and employs over 6500 people, is not willing to do so, then it is very difficult to expect anyone else to be concerned and to see if they can perhaps drive more environmentally-friendly vehicles or reduce or more carefully plan their travel.  I realize that sometimes people just need someone to go first.  I am hoping that with the County's decision to increase the number of its hydrogen-utilizing vehicles; other local governments, businesses and households will be encouraged to take steps of their own."
